Privacy Policy

Who is responsible for this website

Maple Work Path is an independent blog operated by Ajay Sharma in Canada. This policy concerns information handled through mapleworkpath.com and reader enquiries sent to mapleworkpath@gmail.com.

When you email us

When you send an email, we receive your email address, the name shown by your email account, your message and any attachments you choose to include. We use those details to understand and respond to your enquiry, investigate a reported problem or consider your feedback.

Our contact mailbox uses Gmail, a Google service. Google processes information in connection with providing that service; see Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

When you leave a comment

The comment form asks for your name, email address and comment, with an optional website address. WordPress also records technical information, including your IP address and browser information, alongside your submission for comment administration and identifying unwanted submissions.

If your comment is published, other visitors can read your comment and displayed name, and follow any website link you supplied. Your email address is not displayed by the comment form. Include only information in the comment text that you are comfortable making public.

The website uses Gravatar for profile images. An identifier derived from an email address may be sent to Gravatar to retrieve a matching image, which can appear beside a published comment. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy for information about that service.

Cookies and your choices

The comment form offers a checkbox to remember your name, email address and website in your browser. Selecting it allows WordPress to save those details in cookies so that you do not need to enter them again. Standard WordPress comment cookies last approximately one year.

WordPress also uses cookies for sign-in and account preferences when someone accesses a website account. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings, although blocking sign-in cookies can prevent account access.

Hosting, performance and technical information

Our website is hosted using Namecheap EasyWP. The hosting system stores website files and database records, including submitted comments. It also provides caching and monitoring to deliver pages and support the operation of the website.

When your browser connects to the website, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information such as your IP address and the requested page. Technical logs may also include timestamps, browser details and error information, used to operate, troubleshoot and protect the service. See Namecheap’s Privacy Policy for its data practices.

Service providers and access

The website administrator can access information stored in WordPress and the contact mailbox to manage the website and respond to readers. Hosting and email providers process information as part of supplying those services. Gravatar processes requests for profile images as described above.

We use connected tools, including AI-assisted tools, for website administration and content work. Information retrieved or supplied during an authorized task is processed by the relevant tool provider. The availability of an administrative connection does not mean that every reader message or comment is automatically sent to an AI service.

Our service providers may process information outside Canada, where different privacy laws and lawful access requirements may apply. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law.

Links to other websites

Our articles link to official sources and other websites. When you follow an external link, the destination website handles information according to its own privacy practices. Review its policy before submitting personal information.

How long information is kept

We keep reader correspondence for handling the enquiry and any related follow-up or dispute. Published comments and their associated records may remain while the discussion is available, unless they are removed. Retention depends on the purpose of the record and any applicable legal or security need; sending a message or closing your browser does not automatically delete it.

You can contact us to request removal of information associated with you. Deletion from the active website or mailbox may not immediately remove copies in provider backups or logs, which are handled according to the provider’s retention processes.

Protecting information

The website uses HTTPS to encrypt information in transit between your browser and the site. No online service can guarantee complete security. Please avoid including passwords, identity documents or other sensitive personal details in public comments or ordinary reader enquiries.

Privacy enquiries and requests

To ask about information associated with your emails or comments, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email mapleworkpath@gmail.com. Include enough detail to identify the relevant message or comment. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own information before acting on it.

You may ask to access information we hold about you, correct inaccurate details, request deletion, or withdraw consent for an optional use. Requests are assessed under applicable privacy requirements, including any circumstances where information must be retained. We will explain any applicable limits when responding.

Changes to this policy

We will revise this policy when our information-handling practices change and update the date above. New services, such as advertising, audience analytics or email subscriptions, will require a review of the relevant privacy disclosures and consent arrangements before use.
