Express Entry results can change several times in one month. This page records the newest round available when updated and explains how to read the numbers. Always confirm a draw on Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s official page before making a decision.

What the CRS cut-off means
The Comprehensive Ranking System assigns points for age, education, official-language ability, work experience and other factors. A category-based draw does not invite everyone in the pool at the published score: the candidate must also meet that round’s category and program requirements.
2026 category-based priorities
IRCC’s 2026 approach includes categories for French-language proficiency and selected occupations or experience, including health care and social services, trades, education, transport and STEM, plus announced categories for certain senior managers, physicians and skilled military recruits. Each category has exact occupation and work-experience rules.
What to do if your score is below the latest cut-off
- Retake an approved language test after focused preparation.
- Claim only education and work experience that you can document.
- Check eligibility for a provincial nomination.
- Review whether your recent experience matches a current category.
- Update the profile after marriage, a new credential, work anniversary or test result.
- Keep passports, police certificates and employment evidence ready.
Trades candidates
A provincial or territorial certificate of qualification can matter in an Express Entry profile, but it is different from simply having trade experience. Read our Red Seal certification guide and confirm requirements with the relevant apprenticeship authority.
After receiving an invitation
An invitation to apply is not permanent residence. You must submit a complete electronic application before the deadline, support every CRS claim and remain admissible. If a profile contains an error that changes the score below the draw threshold, get professional advice before submitting.
